This is all great, but unless Europe commits troops then Ukraine is lost. All the better if they commit and get it done without the US -- would be a black eye to both Putin and Trump.

Shit show indeed. China and/or Russia will step in to fill the leadership void. Hopefully Europe unites enough to push back enough to make a difference. But no matter what, the US will be marginalized.
