I guess anger is power. I’m really scared that our future prime minister might turn out to be another Donald Trump, and our people will actually believe him.

I’m not even sure what to blame. Maybe the terrible economy is driving people crazy. Seeing Canadians boycott American products feels like being stuck in a bad dream, though perhaps we should. What’s happening nowadays is truly unbelievable.

It feels like what happened in China will eventually happen in the States. Both governments just want people to hate each other.

My best guess is that American companies might also be hiring cheaper workers in Canada. However, they are too lazy to even update the job descriptions.

My mother, too, was traumatized by the Cultural Revolution. She is clearly distressed when we discuss the past. However, what truly frightens me is the younger generation’s apparent embrace of another Cultural Revolution.

You are absolutely right. This is what the irony comes from: not getting paid but working the ass off.

I feel you. The job market has been tough for a while now. But I was kind of relieved when I found out that my friend’s company has a lot of unpaid employees (over 100 people), and most of them have degrees from top schools in either the US or Canada. Struggling in job seeking is not your fault.
