Genuinely, why? If you got no value out of the work, that's valid, but it doesn't mean there's no value to be found by anyone. What good comes from being so hostile toward the work and the people who do find value in it?

So you've read enough to know you didn't enjoy it. That's good, and it's certainly a valid opinion to have, but not enough to warrant taking the piss at his entire body of work and the people who do enjoy it.

Lord of The Rings is definitely a fair comparison, though that could be said about a lot of modern fantasy, but you're right that a lot of his Mormon influences show up in his work.

This has to be the first time I've seen you have a bad take. Shitting on the author just because your former friend liked them is just petty. There's plenty of valid criticisms for Sanderson, but "shonen slop" misses the mark.

I was lucky enough to find them all sold by a vendor at Dragonsteel 2023, but occassionally I see a copy at local game stores.
