When I had a Blackberry in... 2008? 2009? anyway, I used thumbs on that and it was fast. But with a touchscreen I peck away with my finger like you do...

As someone who used to have a little telescope just for the purpose of checking if the flag was up on the mailbox at the end of the road, I agree.

I grew up out in the sticks and I know how important rural mail delivery is (and public broadcasting, but that's another conversation). But something has to change, the current model is unsustainable, and every time they strike they turn more people to other services.

Agreed, but every time management tries to do something, some part of Canada Post goes on strike. Mail doesn't get delivered, people find other routes to send packages, less money comes in... and the cycle repeats. Management and unions are constantly at war over a shrinking pile of money.

Canada Post lost $1.3B last year, $4.5B since 2018. I don't want to see people fired or stripped of seniority/pay, but whatever they've been doing is *not* sustainable.

I hope so, because no doctor is gonna go near you...

Canada Post and its various unions have been shooting themselves in the foot regularly for the last 30 years. They refuse to adapt to the way the world is changing and expect that the money will keep coming in. Problem is, the money is long gone... yet they still refuse to change.
September 26, 2025 at 3:39 AM
Do they still make that stuff? I don't think I've seen it in years and yeeeeears.
September 26, 2025 at 3:35 AM
You sure you're thinking of the right Hooker?
September 23, 2025 at 1:00 AM
I see nothing wrong with that!😁

Is it possible he wants to look buddy in the eye and ask him "WTF is wrong with you?"

I'm hoping that's what he's going to do, anyway...
