Malpensa is as bad as Linate is good.

Milan Linate is actually one of the most convenient airports in Europe. A short tube ride to the centre of Milan, small dimensions, no tedious walks, no removal of laptop/liquids, good restaurants and Emporio Armani sponsorship of the hangar. The pain is the frickin’ bus from gate to the plane.

God knows how many times I’ve tried though.

I agree if you are new to Linate and many similar sized airports it is not a great choice. Still the coffee at the shop after the passport check is better than you’ll get in any other airport.

I think the actions of the RBO individuals are reasonable and have internal logic in of themselves (ie not performing in Tel Aviv and waving the Palestinian flag) as well as having a soprano with links to Putin. Can’t see the fuss.

For the stop-over to Australia Changi has the same lighting/feel as a Las Vegas hotel casino. Pretty drab. HK is much butter.

And with new security gates. A criminally under-utilised airport though.

You do know that all the restaurants at Linate are available to Schengen and non-Schengen passengers? The final passport phase is effectively pre-boarding. I appreciate you might not have been aware of that if you are new to Linate.

You can eat anywhere in a Milan Linate airport irrespective of whether you are on a Schengen/non-Schengen flight. The non-Schengen flights have an extra final stage through passport control that has a shop and cafe. But you can avail yourself of everything before that final passport stage.
