Just tears me seeing what's happening..especially to the kids. I see them as my own & I can't fathom how many of them got to experience existence for a short period of time & all their experience ever will be was hell on Earth. Shame on us

And on that note, something I hope everyone reading up on Epstein will do is take the time to learn about the warning signs of child sexual abuse.

Because it isn’t an “out there” danger. There’s a good chance you already know children who need help.

Thank you :). I could change to my longer focal length setup but it's f/7 compared to f/1.9 . Better resolution but a slower system

This setup was about 1.4"/pixel

btw do you think that I might've got something here? bsky.app/profile/ibnu...
After working out how to accurately align all the frames to such a faint comet, I was able to integrate the frames which smeared out all the stars but boosted the comet signal. Not sure if there's some hint of a coma around it but it's probably not very convincing to me. There was no sharpening or

Aha I knew that is a spacecraft & now it's dumping fuel. My ideas are just being discriminated against & also I'm very smart & should be taken really seriously

Ok no worries. Cheers mate

I'll try to be an adult & refrain from making claims about anything that moves in the sky being aliens. Although I might do it on a day where I feel like I'm not getting enough attention

de noising applied. Just some stretching & that was it. Here's the full frame with some post processing done to it. Wild how dense the galactic region of the sky is & like I said, the cropped frames are a tiny part of the full frame. There's some asteroids in here as well @cosmicrami.com

So I've cropped it more & aligned the frames with respect to the comet this time. These frames are probably less than 5% of the full frame & have only been calibrated with darks & flat frames so expect it to be noisy at this scale

You really should try it before the moon comes back up
July 20, 2025 at 2:32 AM
Thanks. Thought I'd cropped it enough but I was working on a laptop & tend to forget what it'll probably look like on a phone. I'll make another one that's more cropped & tracking the comet and not the stars.

Setup is C11 @ f1.9 (hyperstar)
Each frame is just 60s long

Might get some clear weather in the next few days & the moon won't be as bad as it was for this #3I/ATLAS dataset. I'll try & get a better quality video than that super noisy one in this thread. Feels good to be back doing astro again 🔭
