Enjoying life at 72. I have a rare disease called Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM) that continues to take my muscles away. My newest favorite quote “You can’t wait until IBM isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy”

That’s exactly what I told my doctor. I’ve had good legs and use of them for 70 years- lots of memories- enjoy. “You can’t wait until IBM isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy”.

I have IBM and live in Connecticut. I was dx in 2020, symptoms go back to 2012. Aqua exercise has been wonderful! I also walk 2-1/2 + miles per day, every day. Exercise is key.
