This was my first #pixelart test, trying to figure out the boreal biome - By now I think some things don't work very well anymore, but either way gives an idea of how I want to populate the overworld later 🌲

Here are some of the funky procedural islands im generating in #Godot, mostly using a shader. Imagine them as a minecraft seed map, where every pixel is a chunk. It actually considers a random tectonic plate for elevation and a random wind direction for rainfall :)

So, this pet project of mine is still pretty early in development - what I got so far is pixel art in various states of WIP, and a procedurally generated map with different biomes that one day will hopefully be really cool to explore - and the path there I want to document here.
