By 2024, a report to the UN Economic and Social Council showed that 61% of UN development system entities now publish financial data through IATI — a milestone in open, effective cooperation.

In 2017, the UN Secretary-General committed the entire UN Development System to publish spending and results through IATI. This bold move, endorsed by the Quadrennial Comprehensive Policy Review, put open data at the heart of UN transparency.
