We held our February #HughCairnsVC School Community Council meeting at @optimisthill as it coincided with our annual Family Tubing Night. Families had a great time and we added a few new members as well. #GetOutside #ThinkingOutsideTheBox

What an amazing day we had yesterday. All of our #HughCairnsVC students participated in an Indigenous Day Of Learning. They learned about animals, land use, Metis beading, ribbon skirt making, drumming, storytelling, and traditional games.

I am so thankful that our school division's First Nations,Inuit and Métis Education Unit hosts seasonal sweats for staff to attend. I was struck by this view as I walked up from the ceremonial site to the Eco-Centre afterwards. #Blessed #Reconciliation #Reset
