And then we’ll get a sham investigation going by our crooked DOJ and FBI.

Agreed, I was just adding to your point.

Red car attempts to leave via same route as the grey car at the beginning, and they shot her. Not one frame of that clip shows an ICE agent being threatened by that vehicle.

Calling the Rep, and all similar “correct way to approach this” is 100% useless as, here in Ohio, they’re all on his side.

I must be the only person alive who actually really likes the Jim Carey one.

True, at the end of the day that’s where the buck stops

In his first term, he tried this precise scheme and it flopped then as well, leading to subsidy payments to farmers.
What is the saying about doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results?
October 13, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Which, I will add, is precisely what he did his first term. Trying to strong-arm China, who immediately pivoted to South American ag, leaving US farmers holding the bag.

It’s almost as though the exact same scenario is playing out as in his first term..

Yes, my family has a partnership with local grain farmers, and they all voted for the sack of shit again, after he fucked it all up the last time, and now they’re all surprised at the outcome.

You mean “China stopped buying our soybeans, exactly like the first time he was President..”
October 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM
And all very similar to what he did to our grain crop market the first time he was President, when he tried to stick it to China, wherein they immediately contracted with South American countries, leaving the US high and dry.

The Satsuma Complex, by Bob Mortimer. Thriller/Mystery written from a comic viewpoint. Fantastic little book.

With the sway he seems to hold over Bondi, they could easily whip up some “Trump-approved” version of the files and release them. What prevents them from destroying anything that is damaging to Trump, if they haven’t already?

My Mamgu used to talk about that. Two brothers:
Pugh the Laser, and Pugh Bang.

My wife has been a teachers’ aide for years. Kids who wouldn’t have meals unless they were at school, kids who have toothbrushes, combs, etc kept at school because they won’t have them otherwise, kids the teachers have crowdfunded glasses for because they won’t get them otherwise, Secret Santa, etc.

Right.
There are elections for congressional seats etc before then that can be bad for Trump if they’re won by Democrats, so fingers crossed this begins falling apart for him before 2028.
July 14, 2025 at 3:59 PM
I have seen some talk over the last day or so that this is the case. There’s an awful lot of people will stick with him no matter what, but I think a lot of people have started to see through the haze of orange bronzer to this thing underneath that’s more Mr. Potter from Its A Wonderful Life.

There’s a very decent chance you would, but that is slowly changing as utility prices rise.
But yeah, there are even some electric companies here that refuse to work with the solar companies who want to build solar fields here. Very Trump-flavored part of the world right here.
July 14, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Very cool. I’d be thrilled to have a solar setup here.
