This was based on site discussions with the Woodland Trust and Forestry Commission - albeit on difficult sites but where the timber extracted simply paid for the cost of extraction - which is bizarre on many levels. I have no problem with landowners making suitable profit from good projects .....

We worked up suitable guidance with the Woodland Trust and FC following site meetings - but sadly nothing has been implemented. It is all very frustrating.
