Climate motivated. Dogged.
Senior governments adding fuel to the fire with plans to fast track and fund fossil fuel projects should at least step up when climate impacts hit. Costs of retreat where necessary can quickly overwhelm the resources of local governments and communities, never mind individual property owners.

Weléx, green frog.

This one sat on the road as I drove by. Sat there as I backed up. Sat while I took pictures. Then finally hopped off into the bush when I said, "You have to get off the road. It's not safe here."

Niece pointed out this book. From the Introduction,

"It will be the vigilance and persistence of believers -- people who will not accept the premise that we can't protect and restore populations of imperilled species and ensure others do not become imperilled."

I think I'm going to like this book.

Seems I'm not the only one who feels a bit clumsy navigating a beaver food cache.

Seeing lots of stinging nettle, said to niece, "I bet there are Oregon forestsnails here. They like stinging nettle."

A few steps later, look who's on the path!
