Australian, worried about the world we are leaving behind.
Without bees, trees, and clean water, our world as we know it is finished. It won't matter then how much wealth you have amassed because you won't be taking it with you.

Maybe he should spend his time watching the grass grow in a nice, secure facility. And if it is overlooking a golf course, then he could "win" several club championships every week. As he watches. But at least he would be leaving the rest of the world in peace. Aah, perfect.

There was vision of a similar interaction with a humpback whale off Bunbury, Western Australia. The whale was seemingly a bit lost in the shallows, and the local dolphins guided it to safety. Just fabulous!

Up to now, I have tended, although not wholeheartedly, to support the Australian Government's careful approach regarding Gaza. October 7th was ridiculous, but Israel's response is increasingly unwarranted. Now PM Albanese really needs to make a statement calling for an end on humanitarian grounds.

So, were political donations still an issue for you when big business and the wealthy could make unrestricted donations to conservative parties to ensure favourable treatment? Of course, unions donated to Labor, so the coalition went after them. Now they are all in the same boat, and it's a problem?

The cartoon is both overblown and reductive. Reasonable governments can not throw their support behind only one side. Oct 17 was pointless and unnecessary from Hamas, but Israel's response has been excessive. Other countries must exercise diplomacy and not intervene. It is a fine line for the PM.

An investigation of the Murdoch empire could be great news for Labor, but a Royal Commission? At what cost? If Labor did support it, the right-wing conspiracy theorists would go nuts, claiming it was all about revenge rather than truth. Labor need to pick their battles, and this isn't it.

Are you trying desperately to imply here that Richard Marles, and by extension Labor, are intent on embracing Trump's awful lead? Did you learn nothing from the recent election? If you want Trump / MAGA fans, then address your vitriol to the LNP, One Nation, Palmer, and Reinhart.

Congratulations. What a tremendous result, and vindication for all the good work during difficult economic times. Also, what a fabulous acceptance speech.

It is an important issue, but arguing for it is difficult against the epidemic of self-interest in these times. The majority of voters will be focused on housing, the cost of groceries, power bills, and fuel. Once the world navigates this post-pandemic period, then some people might develop empathy.

Tarrifs are favoured by the right, with the left generally preferring free trade. If a tarrif encourages local manufacturing, people may support it. However, Trump's tariffs are too heavy handed, and are unlikely to achieve that outcome. American consumers will be the losers, as will world trade.

Celebrate the life of a genuine hero, someone who gave so that he could help others, many of whom he probably never met. Compare this with narcissists who only ever care about themselves. I never met James Harrison myself, but I am sure he made the world a much richer place.

Putin, Trump, and every other despotic, egotistical "leader" care nothing for Catherine or for any other victims of their despicable actions. The same applies to the Vances and Musks of this world. The sooner the world is free of these narcissistic grubs, the better it will be for everyone.

Out of touch doesn't even begin to describe it. What a complete arse, as he obsequiously toadies up to Musktrump.

Gorgeous. When I was younger, I had two of the Samoyed's smaller cousins, Keeshonds. Your pictures have me thinking back wistfully.

Funny, isn't it so many world leaders must have it all wrong then? Or . . . could it be that Jonson, Vance, Trump, etc. still don't realise what they have done?
