I’m a huge Woody Allen fan (although I obviously don’t condone recent things he’s been accused of) and have just read that the late Jay Landesman, who I used to be friends with, along with Fran, staged gigs with Woody (and Barbra Streisand too) at his club. OMG.

My lodger was shocked on walking into the kitchen and finding me listening to Manchester rapper #Aitch I explained that I’m quite a fan, despite being 100. I love the fact that he refers to roads around here as if they’re riddled with gangsters. I’m now listening to Salif Keita, who I once met.

I bought my first ever tomato plant in June for £1.50 It was tiny but I reckoned it might produce two or three little tomatoes. It then proceeded to morph into a rambling triffid and produced … 153. They’re now turning red and I had one for lunch today. It was beyond delicious.
