Good thing we don't pay academics by the hour!

Anyways now I'm sitting in a cafe, writing, drinking a flat white, and remembering what a great privilege it is to be a historian.

I used to be the jerk that "didn't get jet lag," so this is called "what goes around comes around."

Off to write my book "The Slow Research Administrator."

One day when I'm not a full-time administrator you better believe I'll be serving up some more juicy hot takes.

When I was there I went to watch a horse race at Happy Valley - interesting!

The old Central Police Station was super interesting, turned into an art area (Tai Kwun). The Hong Kong History Museum was also interesting...

The Central-Mid-Level escalators were neat too.

Now I want dim sum..

My book has come together enough that I am 100% sure I could finish this full manuscript if I had a sabbatical...

(I will jynx myself as I have managed to carve out the _entire_ morning tomorrow to write, please don't tell my boss or anybody else on campus)

I am the rare parent here who was largely forced by his kid to put him into hockey, as opposed to the other way around!
