Current sensors are quite handy for home automation to discern state. One on the treadmill can tell if the belt it moving (>100W) AND if I'm on it (>200W). So now I have a new occupancy sensor for my office.

"Seen from space" ain't what it used to be.
On Ubuntu you try a command and it says words to the effect "not installed, you can install it by typing apt install foo" - on Windows it says " not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file, FO".

Got a new Windows PC, kinda by accident, I was expecting to put Linux on it but it came with Win 11 so I thought I'd give it a spin. Anyway, about 40 minutes into the experience (30 of which was Windows updating itself) and I'm already googling how to fix stuff that used to just work: regedit!
