Humans are more likely to interact when they are angry. Social media algorithms promote posts with more interaction. Therefore angry people get their comments seen, this perpetuates anger and stress. The veracity of those comments is never a factor.

Before long it will be thoughts and prayers, then some apologies. However all of the key decision makers in government and industry will become unusually silent and allowed to simply get away with it. I suspect they will litigate endlessly to ensure their freedom for the rest of their life.

I think it's often a case of report first, verify later. This could be something they heard, but don't know if it's true. They may not even know at the time of publication if the girl exists. The race to be first leads to reporting rumours assumed to be fact until proven otherwise.

I think they do it for the same reason they say "reportedly". It's all to avoid responsibility for mistakes and/or misleading information.

Zack is more careful. What you've said is considered speculation and not legally binding. Zack would get sued for libel if he did as you suggested and that would be the news for months instead of good news about his party growing.

I think Reeves is serious about this, then she will significantly lower inheritance tax for people selling a house bigger than they need if the proceeds fund a deposit for a first time buyer to buy a house. That would be me, but even if she did that, I suspect it would only be first time under 40.

Have you heard the Gary's Economics podcast episode where he predicted that Reeves would raise tax on the middle class? They taken all they can from the poor and will do anything but tax the rich.

I suspect the figures for pregnant women, disabled, elderly all don't reflect when the adverts are shown. There are for example far more adverts with elderly people when people elderly are more likely to be watching - in the day time.

Makes no difference to me if black people are in adverts, or gay or trans for that matter, but I do get the impression there are far more interracial couples in adverts than I ever see in person. It's all to comply with DEI legislation, that's good but it means the adverts aren't typical of reality.

No insult or threat is ever a joke until it negatively affects the person telling the "joke"! Him calling it a joke suggest he's guilty and doesn't like being held accountable or responsible for his actions.
