Slightly hungover, should be doing at least a couple of hours on the bike but now I’m heading back into work for half a day. Yay. Me.

Dragged my arse to the gym to get this done and to wrap up week 6 of Ironman training. Starting to pay off now and Garmin is starting to like me again. Which is nice. Shred plan also starting to pay off but long way to go!

Decided to not go on the spin bike at the gym and went out into the Kent countryside instead! Chilly but lovely to get out. Now trying to warm up at home!

I officially have 24.5 years until retirement. Fuck. My. Life.

Doing a new shred thing and inside 4 days I’ve somehow banked 3000 calories! Was setting my daily calorie intake too low and was stuffing my face after a while and wondering why I was putting weight on after losing during the week. Hopefully this works!

5 weeks of Ironman Training and I’ve covered:

82 miles running
234 miles cycling
10 miles swimming

It’s only going to get longer and harder… 25 weeks to go 😬

Volunteering at Hoblingwell Parkrun followed by 2 hours on the bike, more than likely in the gym is my morning. Can’t wait for the weather to be a bit more decent so I can get back out on my road bike and into the countryside instead of people watching in the gym doing half arsed workouts

Training gaining a bit of momentum, but volunteering to work late one day a week, having either training or work events seemingly once a week and then catching up with family every weekend makes Ian a very tired boy.
