Just discovered a quote from Danish physicist Neils Bohr: "The opposite of fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be anther profound truth." I can think of at least one case of this in fundraising.

One of the things I miss most about our old flat in London is gazing out the study window at the foxes in the back garden.
I can’t for the life of me understand how some people feel the need to hunt or harm these beautiful creatures!

The furore around the Captain Tom Foundation is unlikely to result in a loss of trust in charities generally, say our director @ianmacquillin.bsky.social. But it illustrates what can happen when 'amateur' leadership is left untrammelled by professional ethics and competence.

I'm not sure how to use Bluesky. On Twitter I mixed up my professional and personal interests (lots of cricket stuff, plenty of memes). Should I use Bluesky only for memes and chit chat and use @rogare-ftt.bsky.social for professional comments, or post professionally under my name as well?

As I haven't posted on Twitter for over a year and lots of friends and colleagues have migrated here, I'm joining you. Rogare is also on Bluesky - @rogare-ftt.bsky.social. Give me (and Rogare) a little while to get organised here, and then hopefully we can recapture some of the old magic.
