Former bar-keep. Occasional gardener up in the North Highlands. Independence for Scotland. Politics on the left. Love Celtic FC.
100%. Foreign-based dark money has totally poisoned UK politics now - they won't stop at anything.

Covid revealed who the essential workers actually are.

The practicalities of this are crazy. What happens to infants coming here? After 20 years being 'British' is all they'll know. What about the children born here to immigrants? Do they get to stay while their parents get deported? The Labour Party deserves to die if this is what they now represent.

There's a significant part of the population who are as thick as pig shit.

The US 'plan' is Israel's plan, Balfour Mk2 - this time wrapped in the stars and stripes. They're trying to cement the illegal occupation with a veneer of legitimacy through the UN. Hopefully China & Russia will veto this nonsense.

Not unlike how the Democrats in the US built the ICE infrastructure that Trump is using as state-run kidnappers. Like the US, there is no left/right politics in the UK, it's a right-wing duopoly.

The political class can't let go of neoliberalism because for them it's been a roaring success. So much so they're totally oblivious to the fact it's been a fucking disaster for millions of the rest of us.

It's why you need to be taking some serious medication to believe Israel/US are going to build new homes for Palestinians in the now partitioned Gaza. If they ever build anything it'll be given to settlers.

Dubai is a soulless hole and anyone who wants to move there is equally soulless. It's like an Arab version of Las Vegas; it ignores centuries of Arab culture to promote a faux western-style monstrosity.

AKA: 'Capitalism is in its' death throes and we need to blame someone other than the ruling class for bleeding you all dry as we try in vain to save it.'

From the outside looking in, the whole idea of presidential pardons seems like an affront to the little democracy there is. You say 'no kings' but the UK has a king, and there'd be uproar if he had the power to override the law courts in this manner.

Sounds like what Man City do a fair bit of now - inviting teams on to them to play Haaland in. It looks like a simple long ball over the top but it's a bit more clever than that.

Their only loyalty is to their bank accounts.

Unless you can attract a top-class manager/coach, there'll always be an element of risk. As always, there may be some moans about him but the fans will back him. IMO the much bigger risk to our title is not getting player recruitment right.

Archie definitely has a lot of great behind-the-scenes stories.

My issue with Tisdale is that all his experience is in lower-league football. I'd prefer someone like Paul Lambert in that position - someone who's experienced the demands and standards required. Think Petr Cech at Chelsea or Van der Sar at Ajax - both excellent DoFs at their clubs.

This is just people being nostalgic for their youth. I think the 70's were great as well because i was a carefree youngster then. I certainly wouldn't want to go back there - the bad stuff from the 70s far outweighs the good.

Nancy is clearly Paul Tisdale's man so at least it's on the recommendation of a football pro and not Dermot & Pedro getting together in a broom cupboard. I don't know if Tisdale is a good head of the football dept or not but the more the board stay out all football recruitment decisions the better.
