Scooters would be easy to tell as would low end evokes that people don’t pedal but how on earth will they tell pedal assist evokes apart? Especially ones that started life as a non e bike but got a kit applied.

Like for me Quinpool is the most obvious bike route. But the construction projects there have killed the lanes for so long now. So I could choose an alternate but then the roads are closed for detours or are being paved (Oxford) and are definitely not bike friendly. Plus it makes cars drivers angry

We are also at a point in city development where the roads are so bad in terms of functionality. There are almost no roads without closed sidewalks and often construction reduces lane sizes which force timid cyclists into traffic in odd ways. A lot of this construction started in 2020

It isn't just them. It is also Spring Garden Rd and other businesses nearby. Unless they live under a rock, they are well aware of the water shortage, and unless the city is living under that same rock, they have seen it happening.
