One weapon used by all three. Of course, Mussolini gained power due to ether March on Rome in 1822; Franco, via the Spanish Civil War, and Hitler… voted in, through the ‘democratic’ process.

We really don’t have ‘democracy’ in Britain, do we?

HB, Brian. Memories of what once was.

A club which cannot sustain its time at the top for very long. Up & down the divisions - promotion & relegation - umpteen times, certainly since the '60s. Seems to be the nature of this club. Now stuck in a rut, new manager or not.

Weren’t there something like that in Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery?
August 11, 2025 at 9:09 PM
PS. At one gig, I was ordered by security to take my shoes off. I had genuinely damaged my right foot at the time, so had steelies for protection. Found myself in an 1980s mosh-pit situation, shoeless. I managed to avoid further damage, but pain endured. My footwear was returned to me at the end.

2/2 He died on the day of the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, of Motor Neurone Disease. One of those very few 'long-life' friends we (hopefully) all have. So good that he's got mentioned. Andy Shingler. (Some great stories re last train catching, last night!)
