We have a pair of #swallows in number 1 nest already. Making their crazy purring sound. We had 13 babies from 2 nests last year. 🤞

Many of the #shipwrecks on the coast of North #Cornwall were the product of #gales barreling up the Bristol Channel. The #wind would start as a southerly then veer north west, trapping ships on 'The Ironbound Coast'.
The New Pier at #StIves fared no better.

Given to me in 1978 | I read it first in 2024 | My favourite book, what took me so long? | The Life of the Fields by Richard Jefferies.

I then discovered that the book had influenced the minimalist Bob Law whose Whitechapel show I helped hang - you guessed it, in 1978.
