I have just finished reading Horatio Clare's We Came by Sea.
Clare gives us a 'new way of seeing' that might fill our hearts with the compassion we are known for, rather than with the hate and fear that is threatening to become our reality.
A brave and vital book. Everyone should read this.

Just finished Brightening from the East - a fascinating range of essays on landscape and memory by Ken Worpole that reach far beyond the shores of Essex, and now look forward to two very different, but in some ways, related, books by two other amazing and inspirational writers.
