Yeah, makes 0 sense to me. We have 3 corporate offices across the country, and every single one is moving to a bigger/more expensive office…

Next year (Probably): we are loosening our in office policies due to staffing shortages. Hiring is not limited to office locations.

(Company suffers from low productivity and high turnover. CEO is shown the door)

This year: We are an "in office" company. 4 days/week for all staff within 50 miles of an office, no exceptions.

(Staff previously hired remote within range are now expected in office, new hires must be near office, other remote staff stay remote)

1 year ago: To foster greater collaboration, 3 days in office for some employees. It's a great balance.

(Continues to hire remote for many roles, people begin leaving for other opportunities)
