Everyone deserves a place to walk. It shouldn’t be a “nice-to-have”. It has a huge impact on our health, wellbeing and daily lives.

4. Join the @tyndallcentre.bsky.social scientists in rejecting Net Zero 2050 as grossly inadequate and Carbon Colonialism, and in calling for a fundamental rethink of the UK’s climate policy based on scientific rigour and international justice (theconversation.com/the-uks-year...).

3. Publicize the implications, i.e. real emergency action, e.g. scrap the NHS 10 Year Plan and replace with a Climate Emergency NHS Plan

For 1.5°C, the UK’s fair share of the global carbon budget runs out in 2027
- needing Net Zero 2030, and closure of most airports within a few months
- 1.6°C needs Net Zero 2035, and closure of most airports within 1 year.
