Will the denoise feature in #Seestar50 take out those trails? My version of pretty much the same shot from a few days ago in the UK, with NGC3077 also in frame bottom left

Got it nicely framed with two satellites Ms 110 and 32 the other night

Mine from the UK a couple of weeks back, also with a #seestar50 but only processed on my phone

My view from Dorset, England a few nights ago, also with my #seestar. Read a piece a few days ago which said that latest research suggests the Seven Sisters have thousands of siblings strewn in a line across the galaxy as tidal forces have separated the original cluster over time

And here is the whimsically named but aptly mysterious Soul Nebula, captured last night with my #seestar50

Above us last night in the UK was the Heart Nebula, captured with my #seestar50. Another long clear night tonight, so I got the Soul Nebula as well, to be processed tomorrow.

This is a closer view I got in the UK last night with my #seestar50. I love the way the dust creates wraith-like shapes around Merope in particular (bottom right)

Our next one in Sixpenny Handley, Dorset, England is on Saturday in case anyone’s nearby!

A beautiful object. My look, also in a #seestar50, a month or so back
October 10, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Hmmm, not looking good in my neck of the woods ….

AJ Bell replied promptly, see photo, sorry it’s so tiny. I guess this is the standard position of many organisations. @stopfundinghate.bsky.social what response?

Eastern part of the Veil fitted nicely into my #Seestar50 frame last night, but I think the built-in filters maybe went a bit OTT vis a vis the colouring? #astrophotography

My effort with my #seestar50 a few nights ago (first we’d had clear for ages). A beautiful object, hope it’s in view!

A rather lovely triangular collection of different types of deep sky objects above us last night. Top, the Bubble Nebula, bottom L the star cluster M52 and bottom R (if my orienteering is correct, & to see it you may need to click the pic) the double star 4 Cassiopeiae #seestar50 #astrophotography

Really cheated last night and took advantage of the pre-programming feature of the #seestar50 to capture the Dumbbell Nebula in a clear window in the middle of the night when I was fast asleep … Really interesting reading up on its complex characteristics #astrophotography

M33, the so-called Triangulum Galaxy (why?) last night. Third largest of our ‘local’ galaxies after Andromeda and the Milky Way #seestar50 #astrophotography. PS, who knew that the word ‘galaxy’ derives from the Greek word for milk? Not me till yesterday!
September 23, 2025 at 9:56 AM
My take on the same with my #Seestar50 last night , from the UK
September 22, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Andromeda from last night as promised! Assume the companion galaxy is M32? #seestar50 #astrophotography
September 22, 2025 at 10:42 AM
FINALLY a clear night! Captured Andromeda on my #Seestar50. Assume the satellite galaxy is M32? Amazing what detail in the spiral arms this little scope can pick out #astrophotography

Guardian ‘Feast’ app is full of delinquents. Even the blessed Yottam is guilty!
August 7, 2025 at 10:21 PM
It would appear from the Guardian’s “Feast” recipe app that there are any number of renditions of the apparently sacred Cacio e Pepe, including one by the blessed Yottam Ottolenghi that is dressed with zataar. That said, I did once eat the ‘real thing’ in New York and it was the best pasta dish ever
