Happy Blue Dog Tuesday, You Degenerates!

I'm declaring the next 10 Tuesdays to be Blue Dog Tuesdays

What with two major anime shows featuring big blue doggos!

Weird season so far. Though there are also 3 shows on HiDive I want to scope out. Dusk Beyond the end of the world might have the prettiest animation so far. Will keep you all posted.

#3 - Takopi's Original Sin

As a choir boy I found this extremely relatable.

Alright the joke's run its course, this one was the darkest show of the season, the animation was beautiful it's basically a 6 episode OVA like the good ol' OVA days.

It'll rip your heart clean out.

Boy was relatable tho

Zenshu is something special, gang! If you only watch ONE anime on Crunchyroll ALL YEAR let it be this one.

So far it has made homages to Anno's work on Nausicaa, the Itano Circus, and Tiger Mask. It's like a love-letter to Anime, itself. It's also an original Isekai/Mahou Shoujo story from Mappa.

Of course Crunchyroll also has the ongoing series like Shangri-La Frontier (IE: We be gamin' the anime!) and Solo Leveling (Power Fantasy Cheese), and Apothecary Diaries is finally back with more episodes (What if House M.D. was set in a Chinese period-drama IE: A lìshǐjù?)

I'm enjoying them all!

What if the red power ranger got Isekai'd? So far the only joke is watching a wizard be completely confused by a man whose abilities are literally powered by love and friendship achieve miracles, though all his abilities seem to do is make things explode. It's goofy fun so far.

The Guild Receptionist is a fun character you see in a lot of fantasy anime, especially Isekai shows probably as a cultural hold-over from the old Sword World TTRPG.

Crunchyroll now has an anime about a Guild Receptionist who also just happens to be a god-tier adventurer.

Now on to Crunchyroll.
I really like Farming Life & Campfire Cooking in Another World.

And now -finally- We have both in one anime: The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper once again proves that having access to Amazon is, itself, a superpower.

Farming, Shopping, Trading, Food, Good Vibes!

Netflix has Sakamoto days, which is very cute, but I want to focus in on Baban Baban Ban Vampire (Literally Va-vam-va-vam-vam-VAMPIRE!!!) This little Yaoi modern vampire comedy story is so messy and cute. All of the characters are completely stupid and I love them.

Also on HiDive is probably my favorite show this season. A generally wholesome comedy about a bureaucrat dad who becomes a villainess at a magic school in an otome game, but instead of dishing out mean girl one-liners she gives fatherly advice.

I nominate this girl for 2025's best dad!

On HiDive we've got Beheneko which has more going on with its characters and worldbuilding than it's hollow echi exterior may present. It harkens back a bit to harem OVAs like Tenchi Muyo. I don't know why every girl in this show is attracted to this tiny cat.

Bonus points: It has good queer rep!

On Disney + we have Ishura. If you haven't seen the first season you can binge it in a day.

Basically this is a dark fantasy tournament battle series where two characters get hyped up and then face off.

The selling point is the variety of characters like a mandrake assassin or a wyvern with a gun
