Thanks to Prog Magazine for the kind review of 'A Wandering Minstrel'.

Moving memoir of the Hawkwind guitarist by the woman who knew him best … this book takes us through the highs and lows of being an itinerant musician, as the title suggests.

I loved the Leo Sayer story too!

Thanks so much to Record Collector and Michael Heatley for their review of A Wandering Minstrel this month: "Deserved tribute to well-loved axeman ... Huw Lloyd-Langton is a name to conjure with ... Marion clearly enjoys recounting eventful years ... certain to appeal to Hawkwind fans..."

Really thrilled with reactions to Marion Lloyd-Langton's memoir of husband rock guitar legend Huw. Moving memoir of the Hawkwind guitarist by the woman who knew him best … takes us through the highs and lows of being an itinerant musician, as the title suggests [Prog Magazine]

The first gig of the Space Rock Invasion tour happened today in 2011. B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, New York NY. Hawkwind's Huw Lloyd-Langton acoustic support for Nektar and Brainticket; Huw & Marion's last great adventure, as she relates in A Wandering Minstrel.

Though it has its sad moments, and its tragic ones as well, when I was helping Marion Lloyd-Langton with her memoir of the great Hawkwind guitarist Huw Lloyd-Langton what quickly became clear was that the book, 'A Wandering Minstrel' was to be a celebration.

So enjoyed reading Marion L-L's account of Hawkwind Huw's - and her - last great adventure together, travelling across America with Nektar and Brainticket... and discovering how Huw enjoyed a last meet-up with his old friend, Lemmy. 'A Wandering Minstrel' on Amazon now.

Were any of you at the 'gig of the year' in Scarborough? I'm guessing this was 1988 as it seems to refer also to the aborted Hawkwind USA tour around that time?

Did you have a liaison with a Joli Joka Kissagram? (Don't write in if so...)!

Oz Hardwick's iconic photo of Huw Lloyd-Langton from Margate 1986 with Hawkwind; Oz has kindly allowed this photo for promotional use with Marion's memoir of life with Huw, 'A Wandering Minstrel', as he did when I wrote Huw's obituary for The Independent back in 2012.

One of the great things about helping Marion LL with her memoir of life with Huw Lloyd-Langton, has been finding out a bit more about the many bands he was associated with over the years that have become a bit mythical in his legend... such as Amon Din.

For all the (several, honest!) people who've been asking what I've been working on over the last six months or so, here's the news... I've been helping Marion Lloyd-Langton with her memoir of the great Hawkwind and classic rock guitarist, the much-missed Huw. A Wandering Minstrel. Links to follow!

February's four books read (or re-read in the case of the 'still my favourite author of all time' Raymond Chandler).
Guenther Steiner, Tanith Lee, Raymond Chandler, Petroc Trelawny... four writers never previously mentioned in one sentence I'll warrant...
