Ah yes, canned "tun", a staple ingredient for AI children everywhere.

It's pretty quiet right now isn't it.

I feel like it's the calm before the storm that will come as soon as the game is announced and open beta is scheduled. It's going to be wild once the game is locked in and the floodgates open.

All he needs is a hat and he's Lashton Hale.

#HilariouslyDifficult sounds like the perfect tag for funny game dev bugs. I'll be borrowing that.

I know the feel. That's why you just school them with superior tactics, ie a pocket full of incendiary grenades.

Man, I spent an entire day trying to get a cylinder to represent a rigid body's 3D velocity vector. I am definitely a caveman.

Oh man, this gives me early 2000's personal blog on Xanga vibes.

I think it's just something everyone needs to learn, or rather unlearn.

Parents and society as a whole tend to teach children that mistakes are bad and something to be avoided, when mistakes are really just how we learn.

I don't use AI for anything. Writing and fixing my own buggy code myself is how I get better at using Godot. Making crappy placeholder assets is how I get better at using Blender, GIMP, or FL Studio.

AI might make me a faster game dev, but it doesn't make me a better one.

I wonder if that Haze learned to avoid trying to displace a McGinnis that has fortified her position.

Somehow I doubt it.

That's the difference between art and 'dopamedia'. Games that express beliefs and make use question our perspective are valuable, nourishing the soul. But games that abandon artistic expression are just junk food, empty excitement.

Like junk food, a little is okay, but too much can be harmful.

He's afraid of Valve removing Refresher.

I respect the hustle, but planning some days off will improve your long term productivity. Game dev is a marathon, not a sprint.

Plus stream algorithms favor consistent viewership. Very few people will tune in 7 days a week. 3 or 4 days with regular views is better than 7 with wide swings.

Funny thing is I really enjoyed the first 3 hours of DS but lost interest after entering the second area. I guess it just became a little too close to work since I was working as a FedEx delivery driver when the game released.

Mouthwashing is an incredibly unsettling title 😬

Haha, I still have games on my wishlist that I added over a decade ago.
