Do we have the right to publicize? Absolutely. Should we? Depends. We must provide effective context telling the story and make effort to minimize risk of harm. Just my thoughts.

Very thoughtful piece. The dilemma for me is that the ‘secrets’ I have found in my family were found in publicly available records. I know of them only because I looked. Are these stories really secret or just forgotten and/or not passed down. One involves my grandparents so I stay silent for now.
