Trying to explain to people about vaccines and what they prevent at this point is useless. They don’t care, don’t want to understand, and don’t want to be educated. It’s exhausting and frustrating because people are so anti intellectual or have decided that smart people want them dead or something

Years later my brain was like holy shit they were using teen moms as products to sell their babies to couples who were infertile. And it’s probably only gotten worse since states instituted abortion bans.

Back when I was in high school we had a person from an adoption agency come talk to us about how hard teen pregnancy/motherhood was and that adoption was the best thing you could do for your baby and people who wanted your baby. I got the heebie jeebies but couldn’t put my finger on it.

“Sex-ed” in my Texas high school was a football coach telling us you caught diseases from “doing the nasty” in health class. This was back in the mid to late 2000’s. That class was such a waste of time.

Two different people I know who worked at UPS said they had coworkers commit suicide at the warehouse because it was so stressful and everyone was miserable.

Sympathy for an insurance company and their “profits”. If money matters more to you than approving claims and saving people’s lives then you aren’t a good person. You’ve become their judge and have sentenced them to death.

You know I used to think the same way but when you get older and you see and hear about people not taking ambulances, not going to the doctor when they need to, kids being denied treatments for cancer, or diabetics not being able to afford insulin due to denial of claims I have far less 1)
