I need people to stop thinking that if something was harmful our government wouldn’t allow it.

There is so much documented history that they would. The rich have always been willing to kill the poor for immediate gratification.

I need the internet to stop telling me I should be scared of fascism.
I’ve been concerned since Bush Jr.
What I do need is for the internet to be effectively utilized as a cohesive platform for everyone to communicate about and survive fascism.
Unfortunately, the laundry still needs done.

Happy Friday.
After a successful week at my new job, Beans and I went to our favorite local restaurant and favorite local book store.

Went to the Loveland Frogman Festival yesterday.
Found out there are several cryptid festivals throughout the year.
An old hobby has been reawoken.

To what end? I asking as we cut funding for health, education, and safety in broad strokes.

It’s harder to prove that deforesting national lands directly contributes to climate change and the increase in zoonotic disease exposures if there’s nobody to track the data and report on it.

I don’t know how to save the world

Some days you sit and you cry about the loss of what little bit of old growth forest we have left and practice a skill

Putting in a little baby redbud to replace a serviceberry that wasn’t living its best life here.

I just came across the phrase “pseudopatriot” in some historical reading (about the history of Native Americans, particularly the Cherokee) and wow some things really never change.
