Yes. Jokes aside, that’s the thing. I’m obvs very fortunate to be able to afford YouTubeTV and the $20 isn’t a huge deal either way but it’s just needlessly stupid way to do this and feels like an attempt in itself to rip people off. Crazy-making.

I don’t mean to be a brat about this, it is not in the top 500 injustices, but am I wrong to assume this multi-step process is just a bet that they’ll get full payment from some people who don’t see this email or forget to do it? Obviously they could just… apply a $20 credit to everyone?

Although some of the 38 people charged in the highlighted cases are also charged with immigration related offenses, those were seemingly tangential to the alleged crimes task force is focusing on.

Just out of this now. Upshot: the task force appears to be a formalized version of collaboration that was already mostly happening. Cases highlighted were alleged drug trafficking and violent crimes. No ICE or ERO involvement, per US attorneys.
