My homegirl Alice would have no problem. Not necessarily due to her iron will (though she has that) but because she'd be like "Look at this pretty ring. Wait, I'm invisible & hungry for power? How terribly odd!" Then she'd put it in her pocket & forget about it until she got to Mt Doom or wherever.
