I saw the trailer for New Vegas on tv and told my grandma about it, a few months later on my 13th birthday my grandma suprised me with it as a gift and I played for weeks on end. A few months later I learned about Fallout 3 and quickly bought that and all its dlc. NV is still my favorite game since.
