#MarvelZombies fails to deliver fresh ideas beyond visual shock. The stakes feel abstract rather than emotionally grounded, boiling down to a tired “world ends if we don’t deliver the MacGuffin.” Even the voice acting comes off phoned in. I was left disengaged.

#FreakierFriday puts another fun spin on the generational gap and body-swapping comedy. The family dynamic expands in this hilarious sequel keeps its heart w/ Tess & Anna, while making room for some Gen Alpha chaos. Expect nods to its predecessor, fun eater eggs, and great music.

#TheBadGuys2 is smart, stylish, and sincere. The stakes are higher. The animation is slick. And the humor is sharper. While story about bad guys reforming themselves amid their reputation catching up to them hits hard, the action sequences are the reason you go to the movies.

#TheFantasticFour is a fun, vibrant intro to Marvel’s First Family. Packed w/ retrofuturism, heart, and family feels, it’s a fresh, crowd-pleasing kickoff fans old & new can celebrate. The score lifts every moment, and the chemistry shines. It’s just a good time. #FantasticFour

#HowToTrainYourDragon does the impossible and brings Berk to life with emotional depth, breathtaking IMAX scale, and flight scenes that soar. It expands the story without losing what made the original magical. So while it may look familiar, in a way it also feels brand new.

#PredatorKillerofKillers is an ambitious, world-building brawl that spans multiple time periods before culminating on the Predator’s homeworld. Each setting adds a layer of depth and nuance to our history while reimagining humanity’s most brutal eras through the lens of the hunt

#LiloandStitch is a cute reimagining that mostly captures the original’s spirit through a modern-day lens. Lilo and Nani’s relationship feels even more heartfelt. It’s still raw, real, and central to the story’s emotional core. Of course Stitch brings hilarious chaos

#SnowWhite is an enchanting update to a timeless classic. Rachel Zegler shines brightly in this modernization of the Disney animated princess story, which is also the one of the best since the live-action Cinderella. And the new songs from Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are a joy.

#CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld  marks the start of a new era for the MCU. It’s a high-stakes political thriller that keeps you guessing. While it may be a superhero movie that uses old plot devices to set up the next event, it’s also a redemption story with some social commentary.

I love how it is able to balance out those individual arcs as it offers us a chance to see how the other characters in #spiderman’s orbit are affected by his actions & decisions. You don't have to have the #Spidey films to know what's going on, but there some nods to the mcu.

#YourFriendlyNeighborhoodSpiderMan is a visual wonder w/ storytelling that's nostalgic yet of the now. The heart, humor and action, honors the mythology while making room for other characters to tell their story so its more than just Peter being a kid from Queens and #Spiderman

#WolfMan takes terrifying turns, from generational trauma and repairing a broken family to body horror and domestic thriller. The sound work is a sonic scare that raises the heart rate and the cinematography unearths the beauty and fear of an isolating forest. #WolfmanMovie

There’s a special place in hell for anyone who designs airport queues to be worse than the ones at Disneyland.

At least at Disneyland there’s an attraction at the end. Here it’s just misery.

#MufasaTheLionKing is an unexpected blood-thirsty prequel w/ stunning visuals and cinematography but contains subpar songs that don’t advance a contrived story. It’s fine for those interested learning about Mufasa and Taka’s origins. At least the humor provides laughs and levity.

I had a magical time at the @laufey #anightatthesymphony #movie #premiere. Not only did I get to see a concert that I missed in a cinematic format, I also ran into @callmeyerie and @mollyrogersmusic! Thanks @mamasgeeky for letting me cover this event! Consider this the happiest #lauver on the planet

#Wicked has you under its spell from the start. Jon M. Chu gives audiences the kind of cinema that can only be described as magical. Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and Jonathan Bailey make for quite an on-screen trio. Don’t be surprised about the tears & cheers after each musical number.

#GladiatorII is an epically shot sequel with plenty of build up and lots of nostalgia but very little pay off. If anything, Denzel Washington and Paul Mescal saves this blood soaked revenge story that doubles as a political thriller. It could have been better.

Yorgos Lanthimos’ #KindsOfKindess is a viscerally strange & loosely connected "triptych fable” that full of dark humor & cringy moments. Emma Stone & Jesse Plemons shows their range and versatility, while Hong Chau and Willem Dafoe are scene stealers. It’s won’t be for everyone.
