Engineering Manager & Dungeon Master | I want to write about people management, running the games, and what they have in common!
Looks easy enough. Maybe you could also color code blocks, by putting a frame for example. It could help to distinct info, item/place to do some interaction, and new location

Thank you, I have much better ideas now on what to prep! Can't wait to try it in action

Very interesting! Could you maybe share the list for one of the sessions for inspiration? I am stuck at "you fight with someone", "you have alerted someone", or the lock is tight and it drives me crazy!

Thanks for answering my question. "Walking more" sounds like great advice for many life situations!

hey, amazing work, really puts everything together, and for free! Thank you!

p.s. I found out that Law and Military backgrounds are same, I guess it is a bug

There are too many places with too many people, you never know!

Are you the author of The Lonely Oak? No way! I read very good reviews, and definitely want to play it in the future. I've heard that it is quite political! I wonder where you got the inspiration?

I see it works, but also it is a magic!

Call of Cthulhu is truly great, especially for people unfamiliar with TTRPGs, but can be so demanding in prep! And with Mausritter, prep can be easy, but you need to keep players engaged after several sessions.

Wow! How does ~2d6 work?

6. Spotlight on martial skills! In the Temple of Martial Arts, PCs leap over obstacles, navigate tricky terrain, and destroy mechanical traps immune to most magic (except force). Perfect for showcasing non-magic abilities and athletic skills. #TTRPG #dnd

Have you watched till the end already? 😅

Great tip! I am currently doing #AdventOfBattles, every day I am trying to come up with interesting situations that could encourage people to make TTRPG battles less about killing every monster, and more about achieving some goal. I don't have an audience here yet, but I hope somebody will dig in!

5. High society intrigue! At a royal gathering, PCs seek an audience with the princess, but the regent's assassins aim to stop them. Open conflict means expulsion, they must stay composed, gather intel, and handle threats discreetly. Bonus: a sudden dance begins - perform or be excluded! #TTRPG #dnd
December 5, 2024 at 4:31 PM
4. Prison break! PCs split up: one group holds off waves of guards while the other unlocks an NPC and finds an escape route (break the wall, find another exit, etc.). Tension peaks when the big boss arrives just as tasks are nearly done. High-pressure chaos! #TTRPG #dnd
December 4, 2024 at 9:26 PM
3. Tile-crossing chaos! PCs must race across breaking tiles to grab an artifact, while enemies try to stop them. Each round, random tiles break - anyone on them falls into the water below. Grab the artifact fast, or it becomes unreachable! High stakes, high reward! #TTRPG #dnd

As a writer and artist, do you have any tricks or rituals to get into the creative state?
Sometimes I can be very creative, but it’s much harder to do on demand (and I need it to prepare my bi-weekly sessions!)
December 2, 2024 at 9:20 PM
2. Smoke-filled room! PCs must extract/kill a target while competing with another group. Visibility is zero - actions and bonus a. are used to feel around or blindly strike. Bonus: the smoke comes from an explosion, so no one knows their relative positions. Give squared paper to players #TTRPG #dnd

To create a believable world, I often turn to history - and more often than not, it’s even more absurd than my wildest worldbuilding ideas
