I do feel drone shows are the way forward. I feel events with pyrotechnics should push forward with trying to phase out fireworks both for environmental reasons and the sakes of peoples pets.
Even if it's just a reduction of pyrotechnics, that's still a massive help.

Thank you for reading.

Having worked a large number of pyrotechnic events over 15 years, each year receiving a number of requests to switch to silent fireworks for their pets sake. I do wonder how much of a difference could be made by switching to drones.

For fireworks it's the number of fireworks as well as higher-quality and more complex fireworks, digital firing systems, and special effects.
Fireworks are also still largely made by hand, which requires a lot of physical labour and safety training.

Each comes with their own set of financial drivers, for drones it's number of the number of drones, the complexity and length of the animations as well as technical and logistical factors.

The main factor that's holding this back is cost. The cost of an average drone show typically ranges from $20,000 to $50,000 whilst a large professional pyrotechnics display can cost $10,000 - $20,000 or sometimes more depending on the event specifics. Fireworks are also single use.

For big public shows I suggest switching to drones. This Netflix drone show is proof people will watch them and even streams of them after, further generating income. They hold just as much value, if not more, than traditional pyrotechnics and they are reusable, unlike fireworks.

Every year people are affected by fireworks. I see them asking for some kind of solution yet no one has the answer.

I asked a number of people locally if drone shows at public displays would make a beneficial difference to them or their pets and they said it would.

Be thankful for mother's somewhere because they may have created your best bud or someone who created your favourite game or movie.
