This is an AI image. But it is not inconsequential. I've read Anne Frank's diary a few times. I know the history of how she lived and died. But this image of her bright eyes and smiling face, fake tho it is, somehow made her life and death so much more real. So much more of a loss.

Perhaps I'm being unduly optimistic, but the pace and breadth of the idiocy being forced on America seems to me will lead to massive pushback--might take a while. Trump doesn't seem to understand that he runs the risk of mass resistance, protests, and refusals to obey. Neither did this guy.
