and im still searching for a means in which to grasp the nothingness of freedom from self all the same.

idk ... community? in the actual sense of the word and not what anthropological liberal, descendent-of-overcorrective-shame sense of the word?

where there does not exist a hierarchy of power to either be apologized for, replaced or remediated. but who knows, it isn't in my lexicon, i wasn't taught

though i'm also taking courses on Indigenous literature and wondering if perhaps it is the Western curse alone - that by educating and domineering society on the vows of colonialism and consumerism, the prophecy is part of the teaching. something to keep us at bay and mutilate our mobility towards

i'm reading Dawn as well by Octavia Butler and the most brutal read (in the gay sense) i have ever read (in the book sense) is when the alien species claims that humanity was always doomed.

that our innate, biological being is one of hierarchy. we are stuck.

i just wish i wasn't pounding my fists on the internet and pouting.

i wish we all wanted to do something.

and that isn't even to be taken nihilistically - but more of as a sigh of understanding that there is a towering undertaking that needs to occur in the transformation of what we have become.

i wrote a nasty fucking vicious little thread on twitter before i deleted it again. i had no followers and i followed no one (trying to keep up the control of the experiment, though i clicked on and scrolled through things that enraged me and only surely pushed me further algorithmically into them).

it's a shame that we have the potential to find a definition for humanity that does not have criteria and does not omit - but one that, in refusing the draw lines at all, renders us all one being to care for and nurture itself.
