The Sunken Place is more subtle. It represents the powerlessness brought by racial oppression. I've read interesting articles exploring that.

I believe it is a metaphor for how black bodies are used by white people. Of course they could have used white bodies but treating white people that way would be unthinkable to the racists.

There's a lot of trots currently involved. I know people in the party who are worn out by them already. They are insufferable. Hopefully they won't be around after the founding. Sadly, a lot of the bigotry will remain.
