Essentially you use like a small cup or something. I have a mold I use that’s like a little cup. Toss the buds in there, grab a pair of scissors and cut it up inside; no chunks like a grinder, it’s faster imo, and you don’t make the mistake of grinding too long to where the tree is dust. lol
