I don't know if that would actually make the game better/worse but it would certainly fix a personal bugbear. I'd also stop warmachines benefitting from obscuring because there are only so many screaming bells i can see .5" away from a small place of power that are apparently invisible 🤯

I'd change it so that units within a regiment have to deploy within 3" of 2 other units in their regiment or within 3" of the regiment's hero or basically anything in this vein that means you drop each regiment in an area of the battlefield together rather than piecemeal all over the place.

By my reckoning its 860. 85x10 for the little lads and 10 for the boss. Cant think of another unit that would come close to this.
