It was similar for me: my nomination picks were mostly not nominated, and my picks to win mostly didn't win. I imagine that's the experience for most voters in a plurality-based system.
I'm also glad they got rid of the nominating committees, though I understand why they were formed in the 1st place

I remember when this was all over the radio, though not the BTS version. I was probably tired of it, but these days I'd gladly hear it instead of Beautiful Things for the eighth time today—or Die With A Smile, or A Bar Song, etc.
(Not Espresso, though. I'm still not tired of that.☕)

For me, Dynamite is a 10 the same way Sugar, Sugar and Dancing Queen are 10s: just way too fun to ignore! (ABBA was the original English word salad band.)

When this song came on the radio, I didn't immediately know it was TS. I'm embarrassed to admit the names I thought of before she sang the title & I recognized the new #1.
Maybe the lower voice? Somehow, TS seemed more..."grown up" after this song, like when Madonna spoke at the end of Crazy For You

The "I'd rather be dry..." line definitely hit me at the right moment. It's why I wish the song were a 10 though it never quite takes off to that territory. An 8 sounds right. (An actual 10 will explode later in 2020...)
