Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s essential. Take the time to laugh. Take the time to rest. Take the time to dance, to cook your abuela’s recipes, to listen to the songs that raised you.

We live in a world that often tells us to hustle so hard we forget to breathe. So here’s a reminder from me to you (and from Cristina to you): don’t wait to start enjoying life.

For so many of us, our cultura is our grounding. Cristela brings in the sabor, our families, our neighborhoods, our música, our Spanglish jokes and she does it with the honesty of someone who’s lived it.

Cristela takes everything, love, pain, race, family, identity and turns it into laughter and connection. She reminds us Latines that even in the messiest moments of life, we don’t have to lose ourselves or our pride. She flips the script and says: we are worthy of joy, of healing, of rest.
