Appreciate you writing this! I've felt disheartened by the recent events too. I've decided to pull out of most rails based slacks, discords, etc that I'm in.
I use rails but I don't really consider myself part of the "community" at this point.

Yeah, I like this sort of pattern (calling a PORO from a job):

but it's just a bit more setup than I would like.
