A vocal quartet with an acronym of the four members first names, their debut album won a 2024 Grammy Award.

Today I checked out Coffee Creek Streamway Trail in South OP.

Coffee Creek is a paved shared trail between Heritage Park & Arthur & Betty Verhaeghe Park totaling 3.4 miles.

It’s an easy paved trail if you’re looking to add to your list.

Winter farmers market.
Once a month during winter the top floor of Lenexa Public Market is filled with vendors offering everything from fresh winter veggies to wine & CBD products.

Next one is Saturday 3/29. See you there!

The dill chicken wrap with Cajun fries & Greek salad was delicious.

During the months of October-March, on the second Saturday of the month, Lenexa City Hall has a free performing arts series.
Tonight was Bram Wijnands Swingtet who played swing music from the 1940’s.

I spent tonight at Greenwood Social Hall listening to local artist Calvin Arsenia.
Greenwood is a renovated 98 year old church. It’s a beautiful, intimate venue with fantastic acoustics.
If you’re in KC, I recommend attending a concert.

Wayne Newton performed at Ameristar tonight in KC.
Up Close & Personal was good! It was a performance that reflected his life & career interspersed with songs, TV clips, anecdotes, & fun facts.
It was definitely worth the ticket price.

Got in a lot of steps, found some cool outdoor furniture & bedding for a future purchase.
Walked away with some locally grown creamed honey & a quart of sweet horseradish pickles.

Fabulous rustic Japanese inspired cuisine.
I had a Kumquat to drink, California Crunch Roll & Nightmarket Chicken Wings for my main, & Togarishi spiced brownie for dessert.

Don’t forget to order the edamame toast. Such a fantastic flavor combination.

Tonight I attended a free stage reading of Smoke.
Playing at Cophagen Stage it explores the themes of family, identity, & resilience.
It’s beautifully written.
Trigger warning: trauma, abuse, & toxic masculinity are addressed.
