So today, I’m reminding myself that what we did was plenty

More than enough

And that’s a reminder that we are more than enough

Plenty 🤴🏾

Rather, it is the personal growth we faced

The career decisions made, both the quiet ones and the loud ones

The tough conversations we finally had with someone else.

Yes, there is more we could have done

There is always more we can do

But what we actually did

Matters more.

Today’s the last day of the year?

To be real, I often catch myself panicking at this time.

Not the breakneck, I’m late for a very important date panic

But the subtle moment-to-moment freeze

As if I’m forgetting something

And, if you’re like me, we are forgetting something - just not a deadline.

Because we are forced to slow down enough

To actually see we’re going in the wrong direction

To see the shine of all the things left in our wake

To not confuse speed for strategy.

And to face our feelings about wanting to quit.

This is way more valuable than we often understand 🤔
